4th of July Light Show

Last night was a spectacular light display both by Mother Nature and the City of Redington Shores!

Check out the lightning and fireworks display that I captured. What an amazing show!

OMG! A Mermaid spotted on Redington Shores!

Yes! It's TRUE! A Mermaid spotted on Redington Shores!

I can honestly say, I am very blessed to have had the opportunity to photograph this little beauty... Everyone, meet Lily, the mermaid. She washed up onto the sandy beaches of Redington Shores last week looking for her next adventure and her starfish on the Weeki Wachee Springs Fins of Fame! Hey, a little mermaid can dream can't she.... and a big mermaid can dream too (me)! This is the daughter of a friend of mine... and she is too cute for her own good!

Egmont Key Instameet with Instagrammers St. Pete

Alex and I went on an adventure to a local island known as Egmont Key.... which is just off the Ft. Desoto shoreline and only accessible by boat.

We hopped aboard a ferry sponsored by Hubbard's Marina of John's Pass for the #EgmontMeet hosted by Instagrammers St. Pete, also known as @igersstpete and commonly tagged with hashtags #igersstpete and #ilovestpete !!

Fellow photographer friends gathered for a quick meet-n-greet and then parted ways, some went out exploring in groups, while others went on their own creative paths to capture the amazing sites this small paradise has to offer.

The island is known for it's historic battles, functional lighthouse, vast wildlife and beautiful seashells. I found this little guy on the shore (seahorse pictured above) no worries folks, it was a catch and release. There are also numerous birds that breed here and call this island home.
